Lessons from Harry Potter for These Tumultuous and Transitional Times: Lesson 8

Don’t ask questions—that was the first rule for a quiet life with the Dursleys.”

Status Quo Tick-Tock doesn’t like questions to be asked, especially right questions about inconsistencies, contrasts, contradictions, injustices, and the real mystery life is. It rattles them. They may have to look deeper than they are used to doing. They may have to see that they—like all of us—have a shadow self they aren’t proud of and deny but need to own so they can be restored to wholeness (this could also work in the reverse: they have a compassionate, caring side they deny or don’t practice). They may have to admit they’re wrong, and that would really punch a hole in their reality. They may have to learn that arrogance is ignorance. What SQTT likes is conformity: Go along, to get along. Do not call a goose a goose when you’re told to call it a fish. Do not look at life and how crazy it appears, or the way humans act at times, and have your own “The Emperor has no clothes on” moment. And if you do have such moments, they don’t want you to voice them, because, again, they’ll have to look at what they don’t want to see—or don’t want others to see. This will make them so uncomfortable that they’ll get angry and may turn on you. They won’t realize that when they turn on you, they turn on themselves—because we are all one and the same consciousness, ultimately, underneath all the false beliefs of separation and superiority. They don’t realize collaboration and appreciation are the first forms of “currency” we should exchange. I don’t know about you, but this really engages my empathy and compassion for how their experiences and journey are really going.

As you can see, you have to be very brave to be a Fringe Dweller (spiritual-metaphysical initiate), and you have to learn when to speak up and when to stay silent. Sometimes you have to stay silent until you can remove yourself from a non-endorsing or toxic environment. But this doesn’t have to be as disquieting as your ego-aspect would have you believe. What you want to do is use this time to build and strengthen your spiritual-metaphysical foundation so that your relationship with The One Source and yourself is strong and supportive, for when you take action and when you don’t, which is just another form of action.

It’s sometimes easier to stay silent when you’re a child and less so once you’re an adult, because SQTT is really big on boasting, and feeling and demonstrating and announcing how special you are. That’s a trap that you don’t want to snag your foot in, because once you go there, you’ll exhaust yourself with attempts to keep yourself at that “upper” level and or to go even higher so even more confused, struggling individuals will sing your praises or envy you “for good reason” (not). You’ll invest energy in being competitive rather than collaborative. You’ll constantly compare yourself to others rather than to how you grew and expanded your inner power and spirituality since yesterday or even five minutes ago. You’ll wear yourself out. Humble and Sincere take a lot less energy. They’re also more in-flow.

Right answers are at times less important than right questions. A right answer is a singular event. A right question opens doorways into the great mystery you’re a part of, as an individual and as a co-participant and co-creator. It also opens doorways to creativity that the logical mind doesn’t have the keys to.

If you happen to discover that your role is to ask questions that lead to answers that annoy or reveal truths some don’t want revealed, ask Source and Source’s celestial assistants to walk by your side then proceed with compassion. I say compassion because any of us who do not think, speak, feel, or act from Infinite Love are confused, scared, and feeling a bit or a lot lost, which leads us to act out and make poor choices. Compassion, even sent silently, is a good thing to receive at such times.

Your best answers—ones that lead to beauty and wholeness—are the ones you ask The One Source and the celestial assistants (you might consider your celestial assistants as your Expanded Self or guardian angels, whatever works for you). You’ll either get direct answers or be led to the right answer(s) or to the next clue that gets you there.

Something important to keep in mind regarding SQTT members, as well as yourself: “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” (David Icke)
